Just saw Milk at the Castro. The theatre was packed. How often do you get to see a movie where the story takes place in the neighborhood where you're watching it?

Sean Penn did a pretty good job as Harvey Milk. I was surprised by the film's emotional power, especially at the end. I don't think there was a dry eye in the house (including my own.)

Milk was depressing to watch in the wake of Prop. 8 passing here in California. But, time is on our side. If only 18-25 year older voters had voted in the most recent U.S. election, the map would have been a lot more blue. Eventually old bigots die.
