|It's been a long time since I bought a console just for a game

But I think I might have to get a Nintendo DS just to play Scribblenauts.
The dumb thing is, Ajeet *gave* me a DS a while back. What happened to it? Did I sell it? Did I regift it? I honestly can't remember.
Maybe I thought I wouldn't be playing games anymore. For the most part that's true. But there are still one or two birds that tickle my fancy. (I was gonna say 'one or two fish in the sea,' but it quite misses the point.)
The DS did have cooler, artsier games than most other systems.
- Electroplankton (now a rare collector's item, impossible to find)
- Trauma Center - Under the Knife (a.k.a. 'that surgery game' -- it started out as a realistic simulator, but veered off disappointingly into a weird fantasy where your surgeon developed magical powers that he had to use against supernatural SuperBugs... it was as if the prospect of a plain old surgery sim was deemed too boring to keep the kids entertained. Bah. Humbug. Severing the corpus callosum is entertainment enough for me.)
- Animal Crossing
- Cooking Mama
Scribblenauts and Portal are the only two games I have an itch to play lately. Someday
